Sarah Barrios Cool
Since her 2011 admission to the State Bar of Arizona, Sarah has practiced primarily as a family law attorney. Sarah joined Franks Law Office, P.C., the predecessor in name to Franks Cool Houser & McVey, P.C., in 2017. She became a Shareholder and co-manager of the Firm in 2021. Sarah’s experience in family law matters includes, but is not limited to custody evaluations, complex business valuations, use of forensic experts, ownership and division of Arizona Limited Liability Companies, estate planning issues in divorce, and Family Law Appeals. Sarah has successfully resolved cases at trial and at mediation.
Sarah has been named a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star each year from 2014 to 2021. She is a past winner of the Jenckes Closing Argument Competition, a past recipient of the W.P. Carey Prize for Achievement in Public Service, and a past editor of the Arizona State Law Journal. Sarah has also been named among the Ten Best Attorneys for Family Law by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys (2018, 2021 through 2022), and recognized by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as a Top Attorney Under Forty (2014, 2018 through 2020).
